David Farley doesn’t really answer that question, his article about looking for banh mi in Vietnam is still worth the quick read. (Meanwhile I am grumpy that I can’t find banh mi where I am right now. And yes, I am too lazy to just make it by myself.)
Here’s what I don’t like about traveling: new places, different time zones, luggage, making friends in B&Bs, walking, learning, exploring, navigating, local color, inscrutable customs, unfamiliar public transportation, exchange rates, foreign tipping etiquette, renting bicycles, the expression “when in Rome,” international adaptor plugs, jetlag.
But I’m not here to talk about what I don’t like. I’m here to talk about what I do like. And that’s airports.
Eve Epstein on her love for airports.
